Grist Mill and RAVEN Intelligence Platform partner to turn commercial data into decision advantage

RAVEN and Grist Mill are combining commercial data infrastructure with sovereign, entity-centric AI so government teams can move from a data requirement to mission-ready intelligence in days, not months.

Grist Mill and the RAVEN Intelligence Platform have announced a partnership that accelerates the path from a commercial data requirement to mission-ready intelligence, pairing Grist Mill's Commercial Data Infrastructure with RAVEN's localised AI and entity-centric, predictive intelligence capability for defence and intelligence missions.

More data does not automatically produce better intelligence. Government teams routinely hold the records they need but cannot see across them: the same person, vessel or company sits in a dozen systems under a dozen spellings, and the work of reconciling them consumes the time that should go to analysis.

What each side brings

Grist Mill's Commercial Data Infrastructure gives government teams one neutral foundation on which to discover, evaluate, licence, acquire and securely deliver data from more than 375 vetted vendors, without standing up a separate commercial relationship for each one.

RAVEN turns that data — alongside government, operational and other mission information — into a connected intelligence picture that analysts can understand, interrogate and act on. Records resolve into persistent entities, relationships surface, and patterns and anomalies are pushed forward rather than waiting to be discovered.

Deployed inside your boundary

The combined capability runs in customer-controlled environments. Organisations keep sovereignty over their operational data and their analytical workflows — the models come to the data, not the other way around.

The partnership targets all-source fusion, counterintelligence and maritime intelligence first, where the gap between available commercial data and usable intelligence is widest.

What the partners said

"More data does not automatically lead to better intelligence," said Jennifer Obernier, Chief Executive Officer of Grist Mill. "Work that once took months can now happen in days."

"The intelligence advantage is the ability to understand what is happening, see what is changing, anticipate what may happen next and put trusted intelligence in front of decision-makers while there is still time to influence the outcome," said Laura Buckland, Director of RAVEN.
